Van Meets His Cousin

While in Utah at Jon and Amy's wedding we stayed with Jason and Amy! It had been WAY too long since we'd seen them and of course we were so excited to introduce Van to his Aunt and Uncle and his only cousin Emi.

He immediately smiled at Amy

He loved Jason too and would stare at his face whenever he held him. This night he rocked Van to sleep, so cute!

It was so fun to see Emi, she's changed so much!! Last time we saw here she wasn't even crawling yet. She instantly loved Brian and would run to sit on his lap any chance she got. He of course loved it and ate it up. He read many books to her and played with lots of girly toys!

We went bowling and both kids were pretty good. Brian and Jason took turns winning while I of course brought up the rear but it was lots of fun.

We also went to Jason's soccer game where Emi ran back and forth between Brian and Amy's laps. Now for my favorite pictures of the whole wedding weekend. THE most AWKWARD cousin pictures ever!! We wanted to document this occasion of them meeting since they will most likely be each other's only cousin close in age on the Storrs side (on both sides for Van). Here they are, can't you tell they are thrilled with each other!! (These pictures don't show it but Emi really did like Van. She kept pointing at him and talking gibberish to him. )

They are 2 feet apart and not smiling...

a little closer but Emi looks like she's making sure his feet don't touch her.

Speaking of feet, we compared their sweet baby feet and they were almost the same length!!! Emi's were decidedly larger but not much longer, so funny!
