We took advantage of the long holiday weekend and headed out on a family mini vacation to Astoria, Oregon. We hit the zoo on the way out Saturday morning and then drove out to Fort Steven's State Park where we stayed until Monday afternoon. Some of the highlights included:
*our "night walk" on Saturday around the park when the sun set sooner than we thought*
*Van fighting naps in his pack n play cave*
*walking on the beach*
*yummy camping food*
*hiking while Van slept in the backpack*
*climbing the Astoria column*
*Fort Clatsop State Park where Lewis and Clark spent the winter*
*sunny days at the coast!*
*fighting raccoons every night on the way to the bathroom*
*spending three days together as a family without any homework*
