A Day At The Beach

Monday we headed out for a day on the coast. We did some shopping at the outlet mall, had lunch at Mo's and played on the beach. It seems the only pictures we took that day were of Van (surprised?).

All bundled up at the beach to keep him out of the sun. It was actually pretty warm but I forgot sunscreen for the little guy and didn't want his royal ghostness to burn.

Uncle Jon thought it would be fun to dig a pit and put Van in it. At first we thought this was a little silly but we quickly saw the hilarity of it. It was quite challenging for Van to climb out as the pit got deeper. It was so funny to watch his little problem solving skills as he would back up, dig out, and charge the side! He loved it! He climbed in and out of that thing over and over.

Unlike our last trip to a beach Van didn't eat any sand...intentionally. Watch this video and you'll see what I mean.

On Tuesday I didn't take any pictures but we had a fun day at the zoo! Van actually looked at the animals this time and it was fun to go with a bigger group. Thanks for visiting Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Jon, and Aunt Amy!
