Our White Christmas

This year for Christmas we decided to travel to McCall, ID to spend the holiday with family. It was the first time the whole King family spent a Christmas together in 5 years. The week leading up to the big day was filled with fun winter and holiday activities and best of all family time. Jon and Amy just had their first little baby on Nov 24 so baby Carson shared the spotlight with Van. Those two sweet boys pretty much kept all 8 of us adults entertained the whole week!
Reading "The Night Before Chritmas" by the tree with daddy.

Some of us went tubing one afternoon. We had some pretty intense races but I think the highlight of the afternoon was Tyler having to finish the course on foot when he lost steam part way down the hill! He later traded for a faster tube and redeemed himself but it was pretty funny!
The beautiful new momma!

Van remembered Kyle from our trip in October and would yell "tyle" and run to him whenever he came in the door. So cute!
Makin' sugar cookies.

Grandma was a constant playmate for Van. She was always on the floor playing with him and he loved her for it! Maybe the cool toys she saved from our childhood for him to play with helped but I'm pretty sure he just liked that she would play with him any time he asked.

This is how Uncle Tyler "babysits". Yah, he's pretty good.

One morning we went to the school so the men could play basketball while the ladies watched and played with the kids.

The McMahan family joined us and we got to see my good friend Annie and her little family! Here we are with our boys!
Cross country skiing! I stayed behind because Van needed me but Brian got to experience the beautiful scenery and got seom great pictures.

CHRISTMAS EVE! Growing up my grandma always made all of us new jammies for Christmas and we got to open them on Christmas Eve so we could wear them that night. I decided I would carry on the tradition and I made matching jammies for Van and Carson. I think they turned out pretty cute!

Ready for Santa to come in his new jammies while trying to sneak a taste of one of the gingerbread houses we made.
CHRISTMAS MORNING!
The blocks Santa brought were a big hit! So

So was Uncle Tyler's new Saddle!
Yeehaw!

CARSON'S TOES
Van has been obsessed with toes, shoes etc lately. Pretty much anthing foot related. On Christmas day he discovered Carson's tiny baby "does" and was so excited!

The boys IN their matching jammies.

Van was really cute with Carson. He wasn't super interested in him until the last day or two but any time Carson would make any noise he would exclaim "baby" and either point to him or run into the room where the baby was and then point to him. On the last couple of days Van would softly pat the baby once in a while. We think Van is going to be a fantastic big brother.
Just a few more pictures for the road.

Say cheese!

There are so many pictures in this post but there are still so many things we didn't get pictures of! Let's just say it was an amazing Christmas! It's so wonderful to celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ surounded by love and laughter.
Merry Christmas!

You took some great pictures! I have some cute ones of the boys in their matching jammies, but they are on my new camera and I haven't uploaded them yet. I'll post them on my blog once I do!
