Easy Ridin'

Saturday morning we woke up to gorgeous, sunny weather and decided we HAD to go for a family bike ride. There were many other things on the agenda for the day (including planting our new lawn) but we just needed to get out and enjoy the day a little first. We threw the bikes on the back of our car, strapped our little boy in and we headed to a nearby park that has miles of biking trails.

We're off! This is my attempt at a family shot, do like how Van's little head is perfectly wedged in there? That is some skilled photography right there, and on the first try!

We threw Van in his trailer and hit the trails. Does it look like he enjoyed himself? He slouched waaaay down like this...

and made this lovely face..

..the ENTIRE ride! HAHA! He's so funny, he actually loved it but chose not to show it on his face for some reason.
Half way through our ride we stopped for a little break and Van got very excited when he saw we were next to the river.
"Look mommy! Yiye!"
(he calls water "yiye" we have NO idea where that came from. It's the only word in his vocabulary that he made up and doesn't use the real word for. He's very consistent with it though, he never says water, always yiye. Silly boy!)

"Where did it go?"

"Oh! It's right there!"

He had to check the bikes out before we continued. You know, for safety reasons.

Everything was satisfactory and we finished our ride so we could get home and get to work on our lawn. We can't wait until Brian is done with school next week so we can go for rides all the time!
