Over our long Labor Day weekend we took a family hike up to Silver Falls. Van loved it! Now every time he sees any kind of water flowing he calls it a waterfall and gets really excited. He spotted quite a few awesome things during the day including, caves, squirrels, rocks, ferns, logs, spiders, bugs etc. I'm actually really impressed that he remembered what all of those things we on his own!
He actually walked about half of the 5 mile hike! Thank goodness, since a 40lb pack gets old quickly. At one point towards the end he insisted that his daddy "hold you", but not in the pack. Brian had just been back to work for a couple of weeks and Van was missing him;) Awe!

I'm so jealous! The hike looks beautiful. You always do the coolest family activities.
