Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween this year. Our first holiday related activity of the day was to make sugar cookies. Van actually pretty much made them himself;) Obviously I helped and guided (and measured and supervised....) but he put in every ingredient, turned on the mixer, rolled them out, cut out the cookies, and put them on the cookie sheet. He was so proud of himself! It was very, very cute!

The little chef in his apron;)

After they had baked and cooled it was time to make the frosting!

Bet you can't tell which ones I decorated and which ones he did. HA!

In the late afternoon we were getting pretty anxious for Daddy to come home so we could get to the main event so we decided to go for a walk to pass the time. Van loved the leaves.

When Daddy finally did get home we got Van all dressed up in his shark costume and went to get some candy!

Our puffy little shark!

"Look what someone just GAVE me mommy!"

He had so much fun! He was very possessive of his pumpkin bucket once he filled it with candy. He had to put it down to take off his costume, get in the car etc and he was definitely very aware of where that bucket was every second. It was a little tricky to get it away from him for bedtime;)
We had so much fun! I'm not sure who enjoyed the day more though, him or me. There's something magical about watching my little boy enjoy himself so much;)
