We've been trying to take advantage of our last few weeks of having daddy home and get out and do some fun things. Last week we headed out for a hike. We spent looked it up on the GPS, chose the "scenic" route to enrich the experience and headed out. About 10 minutes later the GPS told us to "take ferry across the river". What?!?!? Since when are there ferries on little back country roads? Van was very excited about our extra bonus adventure;)
After our car got to take a boat ride we arrived at the trail head, strapped in our darling baby girl and hit the trail. Yes, she is wearing a headband for hiking. In fact her whole outfit was wildly impractical for hiking but she looked darling. I should have taken a picture of her get up but our camera battery was low. Brian made fun of how girly she was but hey, she was plenty comfortable and just snoozed the entire hike, why not look adorable while doing it?
We came across this logging wagon as we started out and Van insisted we take his picture by it.
It took us twice as long to get ready, we only hiked a couple of miles instead of the 4 we had hoped to hike but it was so fun to take our fist hike as a family of 4;)
