The weekend of June 2 we flew to Las Vegas to meet Brielle's birth mother, Amy, for the first time. We had received our first e-mail from her two weeks earlier on May 19th so we were very excited and very nervous! We met her Saturday afternoon but we few to Vegas on Thursday so we could make a long weekend out of it. We took lots of pictures but didn't post about it at the time since we weren't telling the world yet:) I found the pictures the other day and decided to share.

On Friday we explored The Strip. Van was obsessed with the escalators! We decided to check out the dolphins and tigers at the mirage. Van loved it but I think Brian and I liked it just as much.
This tree was in the tiger habitat. According the plaque, it's a wishing tree and if you make a wish on it it will come true.
Can you guess what Van and I were wishing for on this momentous weekend? I give you a hint, it came true!
As it was 107 degrees that weekend, we went swimming several times.
We went to a children's museum.
Then...we met Amy. I really wish we have taken pictures of this but of course we didn't. Bummer. Afterwards we went out to dinner at Rainforest Cafe to celebrate making it through the meeting:)
