This picture of Van perfectly embodies his demeanor during Brielle's temple/blessing weekend. He. Was. SO. CRAZY!!!!!!! I felt so bad for him! First of all he was exhausted. He was too excited to sleep and woke up at 5:30 each morning. Ugh. When he's tired he gets really hyper. On top of that he just couldn't handle the excitement overload of having so many people and so many exciting things happening all at once. My sweet boy who usually sits with me and reads for up to two hours and almost always listens and obeys just couldn't sit still. Thank goodness for an awesome Aunt Amy who understood that this is not typical of Van and offered to take him outside at the temple rather than trying to make him behave. She was a lifesaver! Of course, now that everyone is gone our sweet, semi serious, mostly CALM little boy is back.
