We had a trip to Idaho planned in August and then we found out that Brian would be starting his new job on August 5th. I really hate going places without Brian but my entire family was going to be there and Brian encouraged me to go so..... I loaded the kids up just over a week after we moved and drove the 8 hours up to McCall. It wasn't pretty (especially the last 20 mins) but we made it and it was worth the trip! We got there in the early afternoon and pretty much headed straight to the beach.
The next day a group of us hiked up to Josephine lake for some fishing. This little girl was amazing this whole trip. She missed tons of naps and went to bed late most nights but she was such a good girl!!

This was not Van's first time fishing but it WAS his first time actually catching a fish! He caught 2 himself and reeled in one of Grandpa's. He was so excited!! Brian was pretty bummed he missed it when I called him that night but at least I got it on video.
