I really wanted to do a family theme for Halloween this year but Van INSISTED on being Curious George. There is really only one other recognizable character in those books, the man with the yellow hat, so it wouldn't work for a family of four. SO, Brian got to be the man with the yellow hat and I was left to figure out something else for the girls of the family. On a shopping trip I found some awesome red shoes and some blue gingham fabric on sale so it seemed pretty obvious I should just make a Dorothy costume for Brielle. I already had witch paraphernalia so that completed our family's costumes.
I made this Curious George costume from a dinosaur pattern but I think it turned out pretty cute.
Why is it so hard to get a picture of them together?
