August

After we got back from McCall we spent the month of August trying to soak up the last few weeks of summer before school started.  We had a lot of low key family fun.

Chalk drawings, in a Curious George suit (Van wore that thing around for a few days even to the movies and the store:)

We went to the splash pad with friends.

These three boys make me smile.  They were trying to get warm in the sun.

One day while Brielle was napping and Brian was back at work Van wanted to play church.  He wrote a talk, picked the songs, conducted the meeting and everything.  This is why I miss him so much now that he is in school, he is so fun!

Feeding the ducks.

Museum of curiosity.

We took the kids to the Alpine rodeo, they both loved it.  Van was mostly interested in the animals and Brielle was mostly interested in the clown.

Brian hiked up this gorgeous lake one day for some solitary fishing.  We plan on going back as a family sometime this fall before the snow flies.

The very last day before Brian had to go back to work we went to the Ogden Temple open house.  Van and Brielle were SO good during the tour.  Van was fascinated with floor plan and architecture and Brielle just kept saying "pretty!" in every room.  When we got to the sealing rooms Van actually remembered having been in one when we had Brielle sealed.  It was really special to be in the temple all together again.

Van was done with pictures as this point:)

This little girl wouldn't stop singing long enough for a picture:)

We spent the better part of one evening playing soccer together.  Van is playing on his very first team this fall so we were practicing.

Brielle only lasted for a little while and then ended up singing and twirling:)  She makes me happy.

We all went to the ward campout but only Brian and Van spent the night.  It was only 5 miles from our house and it was just to tempting to take Brielle home and let her sleep in her crib and then drive back up for the morning fun:)  Van had a blast running around with all the other little boys.  I can't believe how fast he is growing up sometimes.

More fun around the house.  These two play together pretty well most of the time.

Waffles for dinner one night..

Ready for her brother's very first soccer game!

Family night with Kong Kones at Macy's.  We are so classy!

They have both been coloring quite a bit lately.

We've been playing tennis in the back yard lately.  We need to get back to the courts:)

They are both very into babies lately.  I love it, they are so sweet!
