Aug 2015

We moved across the street in August so we didn't have a lot of free time.  We tried to squeeze some fun into the time we did have.

This one has become my official sous chef.  No matter what I am making she is by my side helping:)

We took a family trip to the zoo. (her piggies are getting so long!)

This would drive me crazy!!!

We had some leftover trail mix from camping this summer so we had it as a snack one day.  This little weirdo picks out the raisins and that's all she will eat! She even passes on the m & ms!

I found them snuggling on my bed watching the rain one day.  I am the luckiest mom.

We went hiking/exploring behind our old house the first day that Brian had to go back to work.

Found this HUGE spider in our driveway!!! I am not a wimp when it comes to spiders but this one..... ugh!

Van and I have been saving all of our nickels for months and months to go on a date to the nicklecade.  We finally saved up enough the week before school started.  Perfect timing!!! We got to have one last special day just him and I before he started 1st grade. Oh how I love this boy!

Packing and cleaning in preparation for the move.  We seriously have the best kids in the world.  Brielle was eager to help and cleaned out lots of drawers and cupboards.  Van kept him and his little sister entertained while Brian and I packed.

Park fun!

First day of 1st grade!!!  He was SO ready and excited!! He has a fantastic teacher and I so far he is having a great year.  I miss him so much but I am so happy that he is doing so well!

On Van's first day of school Brielle had her first day of dance class. She was just as excited for this as Van was for school.  She is the cutest little dancer I have ever seen:)

On the day she has class she insists on wearing her leotard the rest of the day:)

After school treat for my big 1st grader to celebrate the first day of school:)

They seem to miss each other.  After school they usually start into some kind of game and play and play together.

On moving in day I lost track of this little one for a few minutes.  My search for her revealed that she had made a little bed for herself in her new room on the floor and settled in for a nice little nap.  I don't blame her, moving is exhausting!!!

My tiny dancer enjoying our new view.

Dad's are important:)

So proud of himself for solving this puzzle!

Most Saturdays we can see hot air baloons fom our house.  One Sat while Brian was busy working the kids and I went adventuring and happend upon this balloon that was landing.  They were so excited!

We parked and watched them for quite a while as they deflated the balloon and loaded into a trailer.

They were captivated:)

Playdoh!

Library time! I love that my kids are bookworms:)
