October 2015

October finally brought cooler weather and Brielle could not wait to pull out her fox sweater to wear.  I am so happy it still fits, she is adorable in it!!!

Conference weekend!  Van was SO excited.  Almost as excited as he gets for Halloween and Christmas, which is saying something!  Brielle just follows everything Van does so she was exstatic too:) We went for donuts, we stayed in our jammies, and we played conference bingo.  I was SO impressed with our kids.  For the first time since Van was born I actually got to listen AND take notes for all 8 hours over the weekend!  Van sat and listened the WHOLE time too.  Brielle sat and listened/colored/played bingo for probably 6 of the 8 hours which I think is amazing, she is only 3!  There was actually a point where Brian and I were talking to each other and Van turned around and scolded us with "Guys!!! This is an apostle of the Lord! You need to listen to him!!!"  HAHA!! I love it!

During the final session Brielle had a bit of a meltdown so so got a bath and afterward she refused to let me near her hair so Brian got the honors.  He is such a good daddy:)

Brielle and I have lots of fun while Van is at school.  The more fun we have the less time we have to miss him:)

She was so excited to bring daddy a smoothie at work on his birthday:)

They are so cute:)

One Saturday Brian was working so I got to have both kids go with me on a run.  Van ran with me rather than ride and he is so fast!! I will admit I am old/fat/slow but I am still so impressed that my 6 year old is a better runner than me:)  He runs at school every morning and just pasted the 50 mile mark.  He will definitely be making the 100 mile club at this pace!

He pretended that he was sooo tired afterwards.  After this face sleep he popped up and ran around with Brielle like his energy is endless, which it seems to be!

During fall break this year Brian and I got to go a little getaway just the two of us.  My parents come down and watched the kids for two nights (my parents are the BEST!!) while we went to Park City.  It was SO much fun to spend so much quality time with my favorite guy.  This was an early celebration for our 10th anniverary coming up in December.  Marrying Brian was the best decision I have ever made, I love him more with each passing year.

When we got back we spent the weekend doing fun things with grandma and grandpa.  The highlight was the pumpkin train.

At the end of the weekend Brielle and I drove back up to Idaho with my parents for the week.  Brielle was in heaven getting so much quality time:)

We both LOVED playing with Skyler.  She is getting so big!

After we got back we were thrown right into Halloween prep/celebrations.  We all took turns having fevers the week leading up to Halloween so we weren't the most lively group but we managed to have a little bit of fun:)

She dresses herself most days and it's always fun to see what she comes up with.

Brielle and I got to go see Van's costume parade.  Such a fun tradition!

For Halloween dinner we made "mummy" pizzas.

My little sharks.

Of course they had to wear their Halloween jammies to bed.  They were adorable but I am not sure how to get my children to make normal faces for pictures!! :)
