An Evening at the Elsinore

Brian invited me out on a date last night and it was wonderful! The school he teaches at has an incredible music program. Award winning even, as they so often reminded us last night. Last night they put on a concert at "The Elsinore". It's this beautiful historic theater in downtown Salem. There were performances by the Wind Ensemble, Nordic Choir, and Symphony Orchestra. It was absolutely magical. I can't believe how good they really were. There is something about a live Symphony performance that is almost spiritual when it is good. It was also fun for Brian to see his students up on stage. It was a great date even if it was over by 9 because it was a school night!!

A dim shot of the inside of the theater.

Me looking a bit tired during intermission.

I know this is terrible but I like it! We couldn't use flash so I had to use the night shot that is always fuzzy unless it's absolutely still. The choir was swaying so the picture never stood a chance!

Outside the theater on the streets of Salem.
