Brian has been hired to help coach boys soccer this fall! He is going to help out with the goal tenders for the high school boys teams. We are really excited. Last year we helped out at all the football games and it was just fun to watch. I am really excited to go and cheer the team on. Practice starts in two weeks!
Since we haven't posted in a while here is what we've been up to....
*We went to a ward camp out with our old ward. We made so many good friends that when we were invited we jumped at the chance. Unfortunately we had so much fun we didn't take any pictures. There were a bunch of little kids running around and lots of good food and we had a blast.
*We got to see the Bournes! They were like second parents to me all through college. I ate dinner at their house pretty much every Sunday for four years. They were in Vancouver visiting their daughter (my best friend Robin) and her little family and we got to meet up with them in Portland. It was so good to see them, we miss them.
*We did some more berry picking but the strawberries aren't ripe yet so we get to go back again!
*Brian finished his 1st grad school class. He doesn't have his official grade yet but he definitely did very well. He was one of the top in his class and I would be shocked if he didn't get an A. He is such a smarty pants!
*We had dinner with the Sadlers. We've really enjoyed getting to know them and having them in our ward. Jennis is Amy's (Jason's wife) sister so we share a niece! They have the cutest kids and we always enjoy seeing them.
*This morning we got serious about yard work. When we moved in there was just a TON of weeds in all the flower beds. Our front yard was actually very nicely landscaped at one point but the previous owners hadn't taken care of it. We now have a vision of what we want to plant where and we are pretty excited about it.
We can't believe it is already August! Summer always seems to go by too fast.....
