1. The theme for October is "Adventures in Books" so we had "bookworms" for snack (gummy worms and cheetos). One scouts eyes got sooo huge with excitement and asked "can I save mine for later?". I said yes and he promptly rolled his wormy mix in a paper towl and shoved it in his pocket! He had a HUGE wad in his pocket for the rest of scouts. I'm sure by the time he got home and unwrapped his spoils it was all smooshed together!

2. We were acting out folklore stories and my group was doing Pecos Bill Rides a Tornado. We were deciding who would play what roll. Let me tell you they were ALL the perfect picture of a tornado. These guys have SO much energy. It came down to who got to be Bill and "ride" the other scout who was a tornado. They were all claiming to be the smallest to prove they should be Bill and then I had the following conversation with one of them
Scout: I'm only 50 lbs!
Me: Really? I weigh more than that.
*Big pause here while the scout stares at me for a second*
Scout: Well duh!
I guess we've established I'm huge compared to my little scouts!

3. We were going to play a game in the gym of the church so we needed to close the dividers. The boys were trying to do it and it was taking two on each side and they still couldn't quite get it closed and latched. The biggest scout was trying the hardest. I came over and asked if I could try. He looked at me like I was crazy yet I very quickly and easily had that sucker latched. He threw his hands in his face and said "I can't beleive a GIRL is stronger than me!"

Oh so funny these little boys!!

Ha ha! The sheer audacity of YOU, a mere girl, being stronger than a nine year old boy! That's funny.
I love the youth. I'm so glad you got called to work with the youth again. I was always very impressed with the way you related to and interacted with the YW.
I love Cub Scouts! I am in YW now and miss the little boys! Lucky You!
