My Dad

Last Monday I got a call from my mom telling me that my dad was having a heart attack and that he was being life flighted to Boise. You can imagine what was going through my head. My dad is the best dad a girl could ever have and we have always been close. Luckily, they got him to the Cardiac Care Unit in Boise in time and were able to do a fairly uninvasive procedure to put a stent in his artery where the blockage was. He's going to be fine! I have been touched by all the calls and prayers our family has received. My dad is loved by so many people! I was able to take off work so I could help out with his transition home after the hospital. I flew to Idaho Wednesday morning and Brian joined us Thursday night. I am happy to say that my dad is doing great. Of course he is tired but he is getting stronger everyday and the doctors expect him to make a full recovery.

While the reason we went to Idaho was not fun, seeing family is always great! My little sister Amy drove up from BYU to help out too. While we were together she wanted me to give her some cooking lessons. Here we are making banana bread in borrowed aprons. I think it's time my parents sprung for some new ones! (for those of you who have never met my sister, yes she is my YOUNGER sister, she is just that much taller than me)

We took a little walk by the lake where they are doing some construction on one of the beaches. I know Brian is closing his eyes in this picture but it was honestly the best one we took! Oh how I wish we were photogenic!

Proof that Ralph is still standing!! Daddy daughter shot...

Me and my gorgeous sister

Brian, dad, and my brother Kyle studying up on the Idaho back country where Kyle was just hunting. (notice the hunting beard)

We were excited to pass out candy in our new neighborhood this year and were a little sad we weren't home for that. We got to pass out candy at my parents house instead!! We started out taking shifts but then Brian was having such a good time he ended up doing it most of the night. We saw some cool costumes! My favorite was a little boy who was a dragon. He was wearing a green suit with a yellow belly and a hood (that he wasn't wearing). I asked him if he was a turtle and his mother promptly informed me otherwise!!

Me and my brother Kyle before he shaved off his hunting beard.

After shaving, much better!!!

Thank you so much to all of you who called, wrote, or stopped by.

We have been truly blessed.
