Van.....again!

Van is getting so big! It seems like he learns something new every day. He is turning into quite the smiley giggly little boy, although I think he is a little shy with new/unfamiliar people and places because when we are out and about he is Mr. Stoic. He just stares....it's pretty funny!

Lately he has been LOVING this excersaucer given to him by Jennis/Amy/Paula (thank you again!). He concentrates very hard on all the little toys. You can just see the little wheels turning in his head when he's playing in this. He gets so sucked into playing and talking to himself. So much so that when I say something to him he gets startled, shocked to see me sitting right next to him(where I've been the whole time). I know it's probably mean to do that to him but it's hilarious!!

He's been preferring to suck on these two fingers lately, cute.

I had to get a picture of him in these jammies. They were my little brother Tyler's when he was a baby and incidentally had very similar cheeks! Van feels a stronger connection to his Uncle Tyler now that they have shared sleepwear!

Starting him young with the books! We read together everyday, lately he likes to grab and turn the pages by himself, oh and try to eat the book of course. He also loves it when I read to him from whatever novel I'm reading.

He LOVES cuddling with his daddy, he could sit on his lap all day long.

He's really enjoying tummy time more lately which is great!

Last but not least, Van has learned a new trick. He's been holding his own bottle for the past several weeks! It started with him just taking over once he was already eating. It then progressed to him grabbing out of our hands before we could get it to his mouth, now he can pick it up off the table and put it in his own mouth!! We still hold and cuddle him while he's eating since he is still perfecting keeping it tipped to the right angle and we want to get all the cuddles we can before he gets too cool for them. I put him in the chair so I could get a picture of it (since Brian wasn't home) and he thought it was funny that he was eating all by himself. Laughing or not you get the idea. Go Van!!!
