During the second half of our spring break we took a trip up to Seattle to visit my cousin Sarah and her family and explore the city a little bit. I was really excited about this post until I looked at the pictures we had taken and realized we didn't take hardly any pictures of the trip and none with my cousin's family! I guess that means we were having too much fun for me to want to go rummage around and find the camera!
On the way up to Seattle we stopped at a state park and did a little hiking. There was a grassy field at the trail head and Van LOVED zooming around on the grass. He would just take off in one direction and not look back.

One morning while we were there we took the "Seattle Underground Tour". It was fascinating and Van did great! We gave him his binky to try to keep him quiet but he somehow still stole the show from the guide a couple of times. Everyone thought he was so cute!

These are the only pictures we got with a member of Sarah's family.
Van trying to touch Carter's ear. (He has a thing with grabbing ears and noses lately as you may have noticed since two of the pictures in this post so far caught him in the ear grabbing act!)

On Saturday before we headed home we went to an Easter Egg hunt at Sarah and Jeff's church. Van was not super impressed...maybe next year!

Some highlights of the trip that we didn't capture on camera:
*Brian wrestling with Carter*
*Sam and Carter playing with Van. He loves playing with older kids and Sam 6 and Carter 3 were so sweet to him! It was cute to watch*
*Going out to lunch just the two of us while Sarah watched Van*
*Enjoying adult conversation*
*Brian NOT having homework*
*Having a woman who was in her parked car roll down her window to shout "your baby is SO cute" to us as we walked down the sidewalk. She must have meant it if she went to all that trouble!*
*Seeing Jason, Amy, and Emi on the way home!*
Thanks Jeff, Sarah, Sam and Carter for letting us come play with you!
