Grandma & Grandpa!

Last weekend we had a visit from Brian's parents! Van of course got spoiled and we enjoyed having company for the weekend.

First thing's first, Van had to have Grandma read him the new books they brought for him. (side note: doesn't he look more little boy than baby in this picture?)

Hi Grandpa! As you can tell he wasn't shy about saying hello.

Since Van's birthday is coming right up he got some early presents during their visit. This play house is a hit!
"Come on Grandpa follow me, this is so much fun!"

On Saturday we took a lunch cruise on the Willamette Queen. It's an old time steam boat that does tours based out of a park in downtown Salem. It was a lot of fun! Van got to drive the boat!

He did a great job and even got a certificate pronouncing him an honorary captain!

We took Van swimming for the first time at Grandma and Grandpa's hotel and he LOVED it! He was a natural doggy paddler and just kept splashing and splashing. He didn't want to get out!

Thanks for coming we had so much fun! We're very excited to take a trip to California next month and have some more water fun!
