Cousin Time

This past weekend we had some company! Jason, Amy and Emi came to stay for a few days. The weekend was filled with lots of shopping and chatting for the ladies (which meant no pictures), lots of babysitting and hanging out for the gentleman(also no pictures), and lots of playing with very little napping for the toddlers (LOTS of pictures).

On Friday the dad's took the kids and went hiking.

On Saturday we went up to Portland along with Jennis and Jared and Amy's brother Rob and his family to go to OMSI. We didn't know how much fun Van would have since he is only 1 but he loved it! There was a lot of interesting things for him to watch and a few things he enjoyed playing with.

We might have a little scientist on our hands!

(We had a little wardrobe change after lunch because of a messy little eater)

It was really fun to watch Van and Emi play together this visit. Now that Van is walking he is a little more interesting for Emi to play with. They were so excited to see each other every morning and took turns following each other around. One morning they were eating breakfast together at the table and just kept saying "Hi", "Hi", "Hi" back and forth to each other and giggling, it was really cute! We had a few little fights of course since they ARE toddlers and Van has a very limited concept of sharing but overall they did pretty well. You'll probably notice from all the pictures of the two of them that despite the 11 month age difference they are practically the same size. I think Emi has about a 1/2 inch on Van and he has about 3 lbs on her. So cute!

I told them both to smile for the camera and these are the faces they gave me. In their defense it was getting close to bed time (hence the jammies they are both wearing).

They loved playing on this air mattress, especially Van and would run into the bedroom any time the door wasn't shut to play.
