Me And My Shadow

Lately Van has been my little shadow. I used to be able to give him some toys and let him play for a while while I did other things around the house but not anymore. Wherever I go and whatever I do he is underfoot, curious about what I'm doing. It's so fun to watch him learn! I feel like he is learning something new everyday, most of which I didn't teach him. He's definitely in the "sponge" phase. He figures out how to do new things just from watching me and it's often things I didn't even realize he was watching!

The other day as I was doing the dishes he came into the kitchen, watched me for a second and then marched straight over to the cupboard. I thought he was just going to play with the cupboard's contents as he usually does but a second later he emerged with a bowl, walked right over to the dishwasher, put it down and went back for more.

After he had "loaded" several bowls into the dishwasher he "unloaded" them all and put them away in the cupboard!

Man I love this little boy!
