Fall Fun

This weekend we went to a local farm to enjoy some old fashioned fall harvest fun!

**Disclaimer: There aren't really any pictures of Van smiling in this post but that doesn't mean he did not enjoy himself. Quite the contrary, he LOVED it! When he is in a new place with lots of new and exciting things he tends to get very intensely focused, like he is trying to take it all in. It's like we can see his little wheels turning in his head. We love it but it doesn't make for very good pictures ;)

"What is this COOL place? Are we going in there?"

Go in we did! We started off the fun by being a bit picture happy.

Farmer Van!

There was a petting zoo at the farm and Van was so great with the animals. He went right up to them without hesitation and was so soft when he would pet them.

There was a little section with toy tractors. Van liked the wheel but wasn't all that impressed overall. Too slow probably!

We let Van lead us through the corn maze..... it was pretty fun!

We were running through the maze and I ACCIDENTALLY knocked Van over. Brian didn't think he was filming but he was! Brian thought it was hilarious so I'm only putting this up here to please him.

In the middle of the corn maze Van found several fun things to play on. First was the hay pyramid, he could have climbed up and down that thing all day long!

Then there was a tee pee.

Saying "oh wow", and "oooooOOOOOooooo"

We finished off our farm experience in the pumpkin patch. Van was drawn to all the green, deformed, or broken ones. Basically all the lame ones! I guess they were different from most of the pumpkins and were therefore more interesting?

He was so excited when he found this "bawwww". He has been really into balls lately.

In the corn maze Van found this crusty little corn cob and carried with him the rest of the time. If you look closely you can see it in several pictures. He has been into smelling things lately. Why do I mention that? Watch the video and you'll get it.

It was so much fun to chase Van around and watch him explore. When we would go on "family" outings before he came along we always had a blast...and we always mentioned how much fun it would be when we could bring our kids with us. We were right, he makes everything SO FUN!
