Last year we were much to lazy to carve and just drew faces on our pumpkins with sharpies, lame! We decided to step it up this year so for family night this week we stripped our little boy down to his diaper and dug right in. Van loved it! Seriously, he was in heaven. He didn't try to eat any of the pumpkin guts, surprisingly, but loved playing with it. He must have put the lid of each pumpkin on and off about a thousand times. We were so impressed with his skills, he would turn it and keep trying until he made it fit. As you can see in the pictures below there was lots of ways it could fit, such a smarty! He also loved using the scoop to scrape out the pumpkin. I'm loving this little copy cat/helpful stage. It makes him seem so much older all of a sudden and it's so much fun!
The finished product! I carved the one on the left (it's a crazy bat if you can't tell) and Brian did the one on the right. We were both assisted by our helpful little Brian Van!
