My Parents, My Heros

My parents came to visit for an extra long weekend over Memorial Day weekend. It worked out perfectly since it was Van's birthday! He LOVED having them here and would ask to see them first thing every morning they were here. "weema? wampa? see 'em?" (so cute!)
While they were here they helped us prepare our backyard for planting grass!! The intention was to actually plant the grass while they were here but the weather didn't cooperate. We are watching the weather closely so we can finish what we started. My parents are so awesome! They have always been the type that would do anything to help their children and nothing has changed even though I'm an old married lady;) They actually did most of the work on Friday since Brian had to work and I had Van to chase around. On Saturday we all got out there, including Van. He was in heaven stomping around in the mud. We've been saying all along how great it will be for Van to have a new lawn to play on but I actually think he would be happier if we just leave it mud! Hopefully we'll have pictures in a few weeks of little green buds! Thank you SO much for helping us Mom and Dad! Love you!
