Punkin' Guts!

Halloween is upon us so of course we had to carve up some pumpkins. Van really enjoyed it last year so we were really excited to do it again. He LOVED LOVED LOVED it! He was very 'into' the entire process. Picking them out he kept pointing out the biggest ones and saying "big one for daddy!". I think his favorite parts of the process were scraping out the guts and then lighting the candles (he is more than a little obsessed with fire, he actually found and lit a match last week...bad parent moment huh?). It's been a week since we carved them and he still tells me about the pumpkin guts he scooped out on a daily basis. He also points out every pumpkin we pass as we drive down the street. I know it's silly but I'm really looking forward to doing it again in a year.
