The other day Van and I were out for a run and we passed a nice man who was weeding his flower beds. As I usually do when I pass someone in our neighborhood I smiled and said "hi". He reciprocated and then followed his friendly greeting with the following comment:
"Wow, he's quite the load! He's too big for that stroller!"
I laughed an agreement and continued on, struggling to push my "load" up the hill we were currently on.
It's funny because it's true, he IS getting a bit big for his stroller.
He's too tall for the shoulder straps and he has to hang his legs over the side of the foot rest because his legs are too long to fit under the tray.
Awkward as it looks, I plan to continue to cram my huge 3 year old into his stroller and hit the road. Maybe we'll just take a different route so that nice man won't have to feel sorry for us anymore:)
*UPDATE* I checked the weight limit on the stroller and it he is actually about one measly pound from exceeding it. I guess I won't be cramming him in much longer :( Let's just hope we'll have need of a double jogger stroller soon. The one I want has a 100 lb weight limit so we should be able to make that work until Van is able to ride his bike along with me:)
