On the 16th we took both kids to their very first NBA game. The Blazers were playing the Rockets. When we got the tickets we didn't intend to bring the baby but in the end I just couldn't leave her so she got to come:) We knew full well it might be a disaster since tip off was at the kids' bedtime but decided it was worth a try. The kids and I drove up and met Brian after work. We started the night by treating Van to a yummy dinner out.
Then it was on to the game! We got off to a bit of a rough start. We were a little late since parking was crazier than we expected. We finally got to our seats and shortly after something exciting happened in the game and it got LOUD. Van covered his ears and Brielle lost it. I couldn't get her to calm down so I had to take her out. Great. But after a few minutes I got her warmed up to the noise and she made it fine the rest of the game. Van eventually took his hands off of his ears since he needed them to eat his treats:)
As you can tell, we didn't have great seats:) It was still fun though!
After Van got warmed up to the noise he had a blast. He kept yelling "Go, Blazers, Go!" and dancing along to the songs. He was VERY impressed with the flying car that dropped coupons. Brielle liked all the hoopla but by the end of the fourth quarter she crashed on her daddy's lap :)
This is very impressive since it was SO LOUD!
It was a really great game and ended up going into overtime. We snuck out before it was over though since it was 10 o' clock and both of our kids were spent. In case you were wondering the Blazers won by two in overtime:)
