The Beach

After our morning hike we headed to the beach.  We knew it was supposed to be warm but also windy so we brought toys and kites and jackets and no bathing suits.  We should have brought the suites!  The water was freezing as usual (I pretty much can't stand to get in it no matter what time of year it is) but it was 82 degrees and we were hot!  It was so much fun!  Van was in heaven chasing waves and playing in the tide pools.

Brielle's head presents a challenge when it comes to sunscreen.  Her poor excuse for hair doesn't cover her scalp sufficiently and she REFUSES to wear a hat for longer than 14 seconds.  We had no choice but to slather sunscreen into her hair.  SO FUNNY!!! She looked ridiculous! I have since invested in the spray on kind and it works much better for her head.  She still looks greasy but at least her hair doesn't stick up everywhere:)

She was a little unsure of the sand at first.... but she pretty quickly decided it was fun and was crawling everywhere.

We has such a fun day! Van can't wait to go back to the beach again.
