My parents had been planning on coming to visit in June for awhile. Then we found out we were moving to Utah and they offered to help us get some big projects done around the house before we rent or sell it while they were here. They are the BEST! Grandpa helped Brian and Van repair and re hang our fence gates that were blown down during a storm. Van loved this!
My dad also helped us rip out the front lawn (actually it wasn't a lawn it was just weeds!) and get it ready to sod later this week. It was SO much work! It took my dad, Brian and I about 9 hours to do it. That was with my mom helping too when Brielle was napping (she was a huge help and watched the kids so I could work). It was also the hottest day we've had all year that day so it was pretty miserable but it feels so good to have it done. Now I can't wait to have the sod in. Our house is going to look amazing just in time for us to hand over the keys to someone else:(
Between working we had a lot of fun playing. The kids LOVED having their grandparents here. So did I. Thanks for coming, we love you!
