One of our advent activities was to make and decorate a gingerbread house. I think this was our 5th annual baking and decorating extravaganza! We started with the baking...
Then the next two days came the decorating (along with a LOT of candy sneaking:)..
We let the kids do most of the decorating this year and Van came up with some fun stuff. He wanted to be on the balcony while Dad was on the roof. He put fish on the roof as tiles, and he made a very crazy pointy fence out of toothpicks.

It is so far from professional or impressive but I love it because we made it as a family:)
