First of all I am excited to say that we are making progress on our backyard. YEAH!!! Brian has been slaving away back there with a hoe, rake, homemade rock screen and a wheelbarrow. We are hoping to get grass planted this fall but we'll see. As I am looking out the window I am thrilled to see how much more progress has been made even since this picture. This week I will be able to help him and then we'll really be making some progress!!
So yesterday Brian was working outside and I was in the kitchen baking and I hear him yell for me saying he found something. I run to the backyard and found this.....
He was hiding under a board. He was pretty good sized, about 2 1/2 feet. Brian wanted to catch him so Snakey could have a cousin. Snakey is Jason and Amy's boa. We named him Sly and went snake hunting.
Unfortunatley he escaped into the neighbors yard but we're hoping he'll be lured back by the board we put back down. It was pretty hilarious to try to catch a snake with a shovel, Sly was pretty fast!

I really don't like snakes. We have a little snake living in our garden so I make Jeff go pick all of the produce. I'm a scaredy cat what can I say!
Ok, remind me to never go in your backyard. I HATE SNAKES! Yuck! We need to get together soon though for some Wii competition in Mario Kart! It might be entertaining enough to just watch David and Brian compete against each other! :)
