So you're probably wondering "what have Brian & Lindsay been up to in March?". Well I'm wondering the same thing. I've fallen victim to the vicious no posting cycle. You don't post for a little while, it seems too overwhelming to catch up so you put off posting, then the longer you wait the farther behind you are! The truth is we have been very busy but haven't taken many pictures and I know blog posts are boring without pictures. I finally decided to just post and try to do better about taking pictures from now on so our blog will be enjoyable to read again. So here goes....
This past month we have been very busy with work and trying to get some projects done around the house. There have been a few nice spring days so we have been doing a lot out in our yard. We planted about 50 strawberry plants, 2 blueberry bushes, and 2 huckleberry bushes. We can't wait to enjoy the fruits of those labors! We also mowed the lawn for the first time of the season! (I know that makes my parents super jealous since they still have FEET of snow in their yard). We are now trying to concentrate on preparing the backyard for planting grass. As soon as the weather is consistantly warm enough we will be planting! I cannot tell you how happy we will be to finally have grass to enjoy in our backyard!!! We bought some patio furniture to put back there and I think we will get a lot of enjoyment out of it this coming summer.
We had spring break last week which was wonderful. One of the best things about being teachers (beside shaping young minds of course;) is all the time off you get. I feel like even though my husband works hard and does extra after school tutoring I still see him so much more than most wives see thier husbands. We didn't do anything big we just mostly hung out and did a few little projects (like planting previously mentioned bushes!). I did a sewing project, we worked in the yard a bit and we did a few fun day trips. We drove up to the Zoo where we got a membership, we are so excited to go this summer and take friends with us! We both got our fishing licenses for the year and tried a new fishing spot out. It was a bust but as Brian put it, at least we are crossing places off our list. We are excited to go fishing more in the coming weeks. It was just fun to get to spend so much time together.
Things are going great and we are just so excited for summer. Wish it would hurry up and get here!!
